With over ten years of hospitality and event experience, Murphy has played a role in some of NYC and Miami’s most successful nightlife concepts. What that means is Murphy does not mess around when it comes to having a great time…specifically audacious blow out events, and over-the-top bottle popping shenanigans.
While in college at Florida Gulf Coast University, Murphy got his first taste as an operator as he ran a series of successful college nights. After making it out of FGCU with a degree in Resort & Hospitality Management, he began working for the Ritz Carlton and Bay Colony where he gained experience in both front and back of the house operations.
After moving to NYC in 2009, RT started working with EMM Group in various roles, eventually managing events at all east coast locations, while helping to open SL East in East Hampton, and Catch Rooftop in Meatpacking District NYC.
In 2012, Murphy moved to South Beach to open SL Miami, turning a 2,000 square foot box into one of South Beach’s most exclusive nightclubs. It was here during many closing time conversations between Murphy and Steele where the seed was laid for what would eventually become CRAFT SOCIAL CLUB, the flagship project of LPRT Group.
